SAVA Centre-Ouest Offers accompaniment, assistance and refuge for seniors men, women victims of abuse or those individual vulnerable to a potential situation of abuse. Our team of professionals and volunteers will provide you with pertinent information pertaining to your situation. We will do everything possible to assist you in finding the best solutions, a refuge if necessary while respecting your decisions, confidentiality and autonomy. NDGCCEA (Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Community Committee on Elder Abuse) is the umbrella organization for Sava Centre-Ouest. NDGCCEA is a registered non-profit organization composed of individuals from community groups, volunteers, students and agencies that are concerned with seniors issues and their quality of life. The mission of NDGCCEA is to provide information, resources and educational programs to help eliminate and prevent elder abuse and neglect. The objective is to empower seniors with the knowledge and tools to ensure their safety, to prevent isolation and potential abusive situations. The organization depends entirely on the services of volunteers and financially dependent on government grants and private donations. Dr. Daphne Nahmiash, the President of NDGCCEA, who is recognized in the field of social gerontology and the prevention of abuse, brings to SAVA Centre-Ouest an invaluable expertise and a network of essential collaborators.
