NDG Community Committee on Elder Abuse The NDG Community Committee on Elder Abuse is a non-profit registered organization, established in 1990, and is composed of volunteers, community groups, students and agencies that are concerned about seniors and their well-being. Our mission is to collaboratively provide information, resources and educational programs to help eliminate and prevent elder abuse and neglect. Our objective is to empower seniors with the knowledge and tools to ensure their safety as well as to prevent isolation and abusive situations. The NDGCCEA and SAVA Centre-Ouest are currently looking for volunteers The NDGCCEA and SAVA Centre-Ouest are currently looking for volunteers to accompany and support victims of elder abuse. The support may include accompanying seniors to their medical appointments, to the housing authority, to legal appointments, etc. Volunteers will be part of the response team and will participate in monthly team meetings. We look for people retired or pre-retired in the fields of health, social relations, law, finance, education, policing, etc. We serve the areas of Notre-Dame de Grâce, Côte Saint-Luc, Hampstead, Montréal-Ouest, Snowdon-Ouest, Côte-des-Neiges, LaSalle, Lachine, et Dorval.
